Question: Is using a GPS device in tournament conditions legal?
New interpretations of the Rules of Golf allow the use of distance measuring devices such as iGolfScorer by local rule even in tournaments.
The R&A and the United States Golf Association have announced this change among 112 amendments to the book Decisions on the Rules of Golf.
The new rules came into effect on the 1st January, 2006.
